New Granddaughter

We are excited to let you know that our Son (Paul) and his wife (Maria) had a baby girl Saturday morning at 8AM.  Alayna Terese Waggoner came into this world to welcome her Grandma and Grandpa home from Hawaii.  We arrived home Saturday afternoon and went straight to the hospital from the airport.  She is absolutely beautiful. She weighed 8# and is 20.5" long.  She has a nice head of beautiful brown hair.  They all arrived home tonight and I just got home from holding her some more.  Here is a picture of her and Kitana (4) our daughter Danielle's daughter, she is excited to have a new baby cousin.

Happy St. Pat's Day Polka Dot Punches Style

DSC00195 copy

Finding that the pagan Irish had great difficulty comprehending the doctrine of the Trinity, St. Patrick held up a shamrock (similar to a three-leaf clover) to show how the three leaves combined to make a single plant, just as the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost combined to make the holy Trinity. The Irish understood at once, and from that time the shamrock has been the symbol of the land. Irishmen wear it in their hats on the saint's day.  Enjoy a bit of the green today.

Baby Granddaughters Nursery

As I promised yesterday here are the pictures of the nursery.  Our Daughter-in-law along with our Daughter painted up the baby's room.  Maria found the perfect matching comforter to go with it.   The Hawaiian incentive trip is bitter sweet this year.  We leave on the 22nd and Paul and Maira's baby is due the 23rd.  I am really having a hard time thinking about leaving --- will she arrive while we are gone?  I guess "What ever will be will be".  I must have asked my Mom often about the future because she would sing this song to me often as a child..."what ever will be will be, Que Sera Sera".

These are totally non-SU related but just had to share!
