Gift for Stampin' Friend

I was sooo.... excited when stampin' demo friend Sue Hyer emailed and said she was going to be in MN and wanted to drop by for a quick visit.  Sue lives in the state of VA and we meet on cruise several years ago.  Cruise friends are very special as you get to spend quality time together year after year.  She tried to visit last year in April when she was in MN visiting family, but can you believe we had a snow storm and she wasn't able to make it to my house.  I told her that I think August would be safe we haven't had any significant snow fall in August!

It has been a hectic summer and with only a few hours before her arrival I thought I don't have a gift.  I knew what ever it was it would have to be quick and easy.  So I decided to make her a Top Note photo album to remember her trip to MN.

Stampin' Up! Autumn Days

I think we are going to go from Spring to Autumn without any Summer.  Summer to me is 90 degrees or above, well at least above 80.  Most of you know I love "hot" and have not had enough of that yet.  Autumn is just around the corner as fast as time goes so I am going to share one of my favorite stamp sets for the upcoming season.

Stampin' Up! Convention 2009 Swap!

Convention_08_rdax_215x192 Today is the start the Stampin' Up! 2009 Convention. This years theme is Inspire - Create - Share.  Each year, Stampin' Up! demonstrators from across the US and Canada gather for three days of education, celebration, and motivation. Convention always includes time to swap cards, attend business classes and new-product demonstrations, participate in Make & Takes, and enjoy time with the best stampers in the world!

Each year my biggest challenge is to come up with a swap that I think other demo's would enjoying receiving.  Since I am always making them at the last minute, I have to make sure I have enough supplies on hand.  And every year I say "next year I am going to plan ahead and make them a month before!" ya right.  This year I out did myself I finished the day before I left not last minute for me this year (smiling)!

As you read this I will be moving through the crowd above swapping cards with other demo's.  I will share some of them with you when I get home.  For now I thought I would share the swaps I made this year.
