Would you love a fun new fold card idea?

Sue Lehrer

I received this card in a card swap, it was created and designed by Sue Lehrer (Stampin' Up! Demonstrator).  I loved it so much I decided to use it for my New Catalog Open House Card Class this month.  It was a huge hit, and everyone loved it.   It features a nice fun fold (4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded in half to make the base.  Then the hearts are easy peasy especially with the Hearts Collection Framelits & new Magnetic Platform for the Big Shot.

First I cut out all the hearts and then with my snail adhesive I layered them starting with the largest then to the smallest.  Then I placed them in my Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and ran it through the Big shot with no tabs.  Very quick and easy.  The row of hearts is from our set of three Adorning Accents embossing folders

You can watch Bandi Bernard from the Stampin' Up! home office demonstrate this amazing new product.  I just got mine, and it is so incredible.

If you own a Big Shot and Framelits the Magnetic Platform is a must for your wish list. Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing you back here soon!  Happy Stamping!

What to do with Washi Tape?

There are so many ways to use Washi tape the list is endless you might want to check out my Pinterest Board and follow it to get more ideas.  My friend Jan Burnett has a video showing several ideas for Washi tape, one of my favorites was covering the containers our brads and buttons come in.  Not only do you get some cool buttons and brads when you order them from Stampin' Up! but they also come in a fun reusable plastic container.

Do you need a reason to stamp?

So many card ideas and so little time.  "Taking time to enjoy creative pursuits is one of the best investments in yourself you can make to nourish your mind, body and spirit and helps make the less creative parts of your daily life more zestful - and maybe you will find a way to turn sorting the laundry into a creative activity!" from Nicky Tillyer, the

Stamping is my meditation, when I am creating my mind becomes so focused it becomes totally clear of clutter and worries.   Not only does it benefit me, but when I send my hand stamped card someone has a moment of joy and excitement just knowing someone "cared to send the very best"!

Creped Filter Paper Flowers Freshly Made Sketches
This card I created last week using two of our new exclusive Classic Ink Colors, Crisp Cantaloupe and Smokey Slate.   Most of my customers comment on how much they love the coordination of all our products.  An example of that is the Cardstock, Ink & Designer Patterned Paper featured on this card. The patterned paper comes from the 2013-2015 In Color Designer Paper Stack.  It is a two sided 12" x 12" paper, the other side of this paper has a chevron pattern in the Whisper White and Crisp Cantaloupe color.I  The Stack comes with 40 sheets per package, 4 each of 2 double-sided designs in the 5 new In Colors (Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush, Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding).

The coordinating tag is from another product we sell called Tag a Bag which is a fun gift kit full tags to create a variety of tags for gift bags, gift boxes or like I have shown here to embellish a card.  The sentiment comes from Really Good Greetings -  the name says it all!  You can find the details on how to make and color the Creped Filter Paper Flowers on two of my past videos.

Hope you find time to be creative this week.  Would love to hear what you have created!

Coloring Creped Filter Paper Flowers

Creped Filter Paper Flowers How to Color

This card was created using the sketch challenge 297 from Mojo Monday.  Yesterday I posted a video showing how to make the Creped Filter Paper Flowers   and today I will show you how to color the flowers. The creped filter paper hast the look of tissue paper  with the strength of card stock.  It is so easy to color the paper to match any paper crafting project you are working on.  Stampin' Up! Classic Ink Pads and Paper come in 52 awesome colors.  I am sure you will find a favorite or two among them.

One of my customers said she buy only Stampin' Up! ink pads, cardstock, patterned paper, ribbons and accessories because they all match.  No more guessing and spending time running from store to store to find something to match.  It is a huge time saver, but more than saving time when you are finished making a card it looks professional.

Making a hand stamped card is still on of my favorite things to do.  I will celebrate 15 years as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator this summer, and I still get excited every time a create on of my own cards.  Lots of fun ideas on Pinterest to case.  A Sketch Challenge really helps me come up with my own ideas and gets my creative mojo going.   Have you ever tried a card challenge?  I would love to hear how you are inspired and what gets your Mojo going, please share a comment with me how you get creative!
