Are you ready for Christmas?

One of the main things on my holiday to do list, is to send out loving greetings once a year to those who are important to me.  Have you thought about what type of greeting you will send your loved ones this year.

It doesn't have to be much, just a simple greeting and let them know you are thinking about them.  While many people have started to send out Christmas photo's which I love to get - if you sending a card to someone you see all the time they don't need  a picture of you hanging out on their refrigerator.  So why not stamp up a few cards for those people whom you see frequently in your year.

Here is one Christmas Card possibility.

Here is the template I used to create this card.  Want to try a challenge yourself?  Check it out!

Stamping Border Buddies

450 Border Buddies

Good Morning  We are so excited and could hardly wait to tell you about our Border Buddies Saturday!

My Dear Canadian Friend Alison Solven and I will be working together to bring you some awesome Saturday projects.  While we live miles apart we are close in stamping hearts. Alison was one of the First Demonstrators in Canada, you can read her story here.

We are both committed to providing excellent customer care and support to our community of stampers!  We love to share our passion of stamping and scrapbooking through our blogs, newsletters and videos as we continue to learn more about the art of papercrafting.

Be sure and check out of Alison's blog at
Stamp Crazy with Alison.

Now for this weeks Border Buddie Project!

Canada's Thanksgiving is just around the corner on the 2nd Monday in October, so I thought I would post a card for the occasion!

Stamps to die for September Card Class (2)
Absolutely love the Pool Party with the Cajun Crazy and the soft Very Vanilla.  While the Candy dots are hot! and you don't have to add them to the silver bases, the base makes a great looking brad all by itself!  I ordered the envelope liners Thinlits thinking I just needed them in case customers ask, now I hate to send a card without a pretty liner.   It is a GREAT way to use up all that pretty patterned paper you have been hoarding.

Diva & Dude's Stampin' Up! Product & Training

DD Product & Training

Each month the Diva & Dudes gather to learn and share with each other.  This year I started my Diva Directs Product & Training Card Class.  They come and make 4 cards, and we go over and highlight the products that were used to make the cards.

Now you might be saying, I wish I lived by Patsy so I could be part of her Diva & Dude Stampers.  Don't worry you can, this fall I will be starting virtual product & trainings and there are some special perks for those who live to far to come in person!  One of the cards we made we used the Thinlits and made this "little flipper card"!  Everyone had a great time and I look forward to next month with 4 more fun cards.

Not sure what the thinlits are that just came out this last month.  Watch the video below that Stampin' Up! made for demo/customers to have some fun ideas of how to use them.

Week 30, Stamping Technique Poppin' Eye Shadows!

Eye shadow just isn't for your eyes anymore.  Now you can take your favorite colors (or maybe you not favorite colors for your eyes) and use them on your next hand stamped card.  During the holiday season it is always a good time to get the compact with dozens of eye shadow colors for a reasonable price.   I love the stamp "ust Because" from A Dozen Thoughts, it is perfect for sending  out a card for no reason.

Poppin Pastels with Eye Shadow
Often times I start out with a blank palette and not sure where I am going... okay maybe most of the time.   Sometimes I want to throw the card in the garbage when I am done, but I usually have it hang out on my desk for a few days and they grow on me.  This card however was a wow I really like it.  You can never capture the deapth or clarity of the colors in pictures but I know when they open this card

Week 29 Trifold Shutter Card, Technique How To

Week 29 of my 52 week series of Technique How To.

Trifold Shutter Card, Technique How ToThank you for your patience with my 2 weeks off from the Technique How To.  I just got home last night from the Stampin' Up!'s Incentive trip to San Diego.  What an awesome time.  I promised you a WOW fold card when I got back and I know you won't be disappointed in the Trifold Shutter Card.  This is one project that you really need the Stampin' Trimmer.

Trifold Shutter Card Technique How to
I just LOVE the Coastal Cabana and Summer Starfruit colors in this card.  The designer paper is Eastern Elegance and is the perfect pairing for this handmade card.  I used Stampin' Write Markers to color the flower to stamp and then cut it out.

Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip, San Diego Get-a-Way!

San Diego, Stampin' Up! Get-a-way

San Diego, California here we come!  Our colorful package arrived with luggage tags, airline tickets and info about our upcoming trip.   This is my 12th incentive trip with Stampin' Up!  I always wanted a job where I could travel and Stampin' Up! has surely given me that opportunity.  We will be staying at the plush U.S. Grant Hotel in the Gaslamp District of San Diego.   There will be lots to see and do, keep an eye out for some upcoming posts that will highlight our trip.

Flower Shop Stamp Set

I wish I could say that I made this card!  Isn't it beautiful.  One of the huge perks of helping other demo's with their blog set ups or redesigns has been receiving some amazing Thank You Cards. This card came from Melva Peters this week, a Canadian Demo, check out her blog that got a facelift last week.  Melva said she cased the card from a gift bag she received from convention - however it didn't have a name on it so she couldn't give the original artist credit.  Like all cards it is more beautiful in person!

Look forward to chatting again on Saturday!  Happy Stamping!

Where oh Where has the little Technique How To, Gone...where can it be?

No worries... Technique How To is not gone, just on vacation, she will be back.  Everyone deserves a vacation now and then don't they?  You won't want to miss Week 29 that will come out on September 17!  It will be another fun fold style of card.

I really enjoy blogging and sharing what I do.  Fortunately, I am a bit tech savvy and love the "behind the scenes" on my blog.  Many Demos out there would love to share but feel very overwhelmed when they want to start blogging.  It all started out by helping a few friends set up or revamp their blogs.  So many people need just a little help getting started.  What do busy people do?  Get busier!   So in mid August, almost 15 years to the day I started Stampin' Up!  I started another business "Blogs by Patsy" setting up or revamping blogs for people.  Don't worry I am not going to quit being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator - I will still be here sharing my first passion stamping!

Check out, If you happen to be a demo reading this, or maybe a stamper who would just love to share their art work on a blog contact me.

Susan Itell Thank You Card, simple stampinJust like being a demonstrator one of the bonuses is the wonderful friendships you make along the way.  Last week,  I received this beautiful card in the mail from demonstrator Susan Itell.  She was a wonderful demonstrator to work with, while I helped give her blog a face lift. I Love the large Thank you featured in this card.  It is from a new photopolymer set that we have.
