Week 51 Technique How To Video Fun Fold

Week 51 Fun Fold CelebrateToday's technique is a quick and easy fun fold.  Change the stamp set, paper and colors and it will look totally different each time.  I really love the Birthday Basics patterned paper and am down to my last few small pieces.  The Build a Cupcake Punch is so fun and versatile.  I found a board on pinterest with over 60 creative ideas using this punch.  Going to have to try some out myself.  Check out the Create a Cupcake punch board here.

Now Check out today's video on how I used this punch to create a Fun Fold Card.

A Card in the Mail!

Hello Stampers,

Welcome to Border Buddy Saturday with Patsy and Alison!  Alison here today to share some cards I received in the mail recently.  Each month I send out cards to customers who have made online purchases and to my team for various accomplishments.  I know they appreciate receiving them because they email me to tell me how excited they were to receive it.

Do you remember how you feel when you receive a card in the mail?  In our busy, internet, social media world we forget what it feels like to receive mail and there is no better mail day than when it includes a handmade card from a friend!  And for no other reason other than she or he was thinking about you!

Recently I had the same pleasure when I went to my mailbox and found not ONE but FOUR handmade cards from my friend, Kristyne Brandt in Winnipeg.  Just because....I was so thrilled and touched that she would think of me!  I had been sending her cards now and then just as a Random Act of Kindness and she decided to shower me with cards all on one day.  Each one was more spectacular than the one before!

So now let me share them with all of you!

DSC_9637This first card uses some new products from the Occasions Catalogue including:

Stamps: Perfect Pennants #133227 (wood) and #133230 (clear)

DSC_9639What a sweet card for Valentine's Day or an Anniversary or Wedding!

I believe this card was a CASE - it's so fabulous in real life!

Week 49 Crayon Resist
It is so much fun sharing with you a new technique during this 52 week series.  We are getting really close to almost completing our year in stamping technique how to.  Last week I mentioned that I think this week was going to be my favorite one --- but maybe that will only last until next week.  A girl can always change her mind, Right?

Hope you enjoy this weeks Technique How to Video ---
Click here if you are on email subscription and can't see the video

Did you always wonder why there was a white in the box of crayons when no one uses it?  The kids won't even miss it, if you take it and stash it with your stamping stuff.   What do you  think --- do you have a stamp set on your shelf that would look good using the Crayon Resist Technique?

Sweet Treats and take a retreat!

Take a retreat from everyday life and create something.  If you passion is in the kitchen create an amazing dish for that special Valentine. Maybe your passion is service create a special time to be of service for someone else.  Often times we think of creativity as music, crafts, sewing or as some of my friends would call it artsy fartsy.  It is much more than that.

One definition of creative is "a phenomenon whereby something new and valuable is created".  Parents are often very creative in how they are going to get their kids from event to event.  Or maybe you found a new way to pay your bills.   So think back this week, what did you create?  Would love to have you share.

Today's sample is from the Stampin' Up! blog.  While they designed these for Valentines Day, they would all make great Easter Treats.  The pre-printed polka dot cellophane bags are so adorable.  They are part of the Twisty Treats Kits from Sale-a-brations (Earn them FREE contact me to find out how).  They stamped the sentiments using the ABC-123 Sketch Alphabet & numbers stamp set and the Countless Sayings 1 & 2 Phtotopolymer Stamp Sets.
