The New In-color Blackberry Bliss is so rich and wonderful.  The patterned paper is from the.  The flowers and birds are from the Polka Dot Pieces stamp set and this truly is a favorite of mine from the new catalog.  It stamps up so well and if you collect Stampin’ Up! punches like I do you have a punch for almost every stamp in this set.

The sentiment is one you won’t want to miss from the And Many More stamp set.  This set has a greeting for all reasons!

The new 2014-2016 In-Colors add a rich, elegant but yet fun element to any card or stamping project.  Did you know you can buy the 5 new in-colors and paper in a bundle and save?  It is like getting one ink pad free!  For only $29.95 you receive Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Tangelo Twist and Mossy Meadow Ink Pads and 20 sheets of cardstock 5 of each color.

Stampin' Up! Quick Tip Blendabilities 101

Blendablities flower shop

Today's post is all about Blendabilities™ with a quick tip on how to do the flicking technique.  The ink is applied with a quick single flick stroke.  The flower in today's sample was made using the flicking stroke.

You can watch the stamping quick tip video to see how to do this technique adding ink from the Blendabilities™ to your project. Flicks can be left unblended to create texture which I will demonstrate in an upcoming video or blended as shown in the video.

By the Tide Just Because!

As we prepared to head out on our road trip to the Inspire create and Share 2014 Stampin’ Up! Convention with a stop in Denver to visit family, I thought what I could bring them from Minnesota.  I decided on the famous 3M Post It Notes, Scotch Tape, Minnesota Wild Rice, Honey and of course hand stamped cards!  Little did I know that fresh Sunfish would have been enough.  Walleye is the Minnesota state fish and one you will find on many menus.  However ask most anyone who has ever visited family  in Minnesota what their favorite fish is and they will say fresh Sunfish however you won’t find it on the menu.

So note to self, next trip to Cousin Robin in Denver bring Sunfish!

By the tide

Today’s cards was inspired by the Minnesota Sunfish.  While this is not a sunfish in the By the Sea stamp set it could pass for one, so if I don’t tell anyone they won’t know right?  Is your curiosity up what a Sunfish looks like click here!

Supplies for today's card, my apologizes for using a retired embossing folder, usually I am on top of moving things that have retired from my reach.

What Memory Does the Traveler Stamp Set Remind You Of?

Traveler stamp set

Hellos Stampers it’s Border Buddies Saturday, Patsy here.

When I first saw the Traveler stamp set it reminded me of how much I love to travel. Stampin’ Up! has been a huge part of fulfilling my dreams of travel.  Border Buddy Alison and I meet on an incentive trip many years ago and share many memories of our travels. We would love to hear some of your fond memories of travel, just click on the comment link at the end of this post and share your memories with us.

A popular activity among demonstrators is swapping cards. Swapping goes like this… I make a particular number of cards all the same (example 40 cards) and exchange them with 40 other demonstrators, so I end up with 40 different cards. It is a great way to get a great variety of samples.

Here are 3 of my favorite samples from a recent swap.

Sue lehrer

This card was stamped by Sue Lehrer, don’t you love the layout of this card?

Lisa schultz

This one was stamped by Lisa Schultz, I love how she cut out a strip of flags from the designer series paper.

Hello Stampers,

It's time for Step Up! Stampin' - Alison here to share a card using Tap Tap Tap Stamp Set.

Here's my Step Up! Stampin' version of the card using a new product - Gift Card Enclosure Pack - which come 10 to a package (#136662)

You can see that I used the same Lullaby DSP and colours from the card and just jazzed it up a bit.  Click here for full instructions!

Polka dot pieces black and white2

It's a Stampin’ Up! polka-dot party! What do you do when finish creating a hand stamped card?  I show my family and this was one of their favorites this week.  Black and White cards always seem to be a favorite of my customers too!    The “Back to Black Designer Series Paper” is the perfect paper to create black and white projects.

And don’t forget for a few more weeks you can buy 3 great on Free!

Have You Ever Been to Sea Billy?

Hello Stampers,

It's Border Buddy Saturday and it's Alison here today!  Patsy and I are enjoying ourselves at Stampin' Up!'s Convention in Salt Lake City this week and we'll both have tons of new fun ideas and products to share with you when we get home.

This week I wanted to share a fun card created by my friend Melva Peters.  Everything Melva does is so fabulous and this card is no exception - so fun! Remember that fish commercial when the Captain asks 'Have you ever been to sea Billy?" This card reminds me of this so much.

It features my favourite Designer Series Paper - Maritime.  You don't have to use it for natical themes only.

Melva made a Shaker Card (so easy with our Shaker Frames).  The candy dots around the frame make it look like a port-hole (so clever!).  This card would be great for kids or adults (especially those that love the water!)

I find our DSP is very versatile!  AND it's on sale this month.  Buy any 3 packages of your choice (the same or mix and match) and pick a fourth package for FREE!
