Merry Christmas see what is under my tree

Each year I make special tags with Stampin' Up! paper crafting products and buy Christmas wrapping to go with it.  The theme for this year's Founder's Circle was "Home for the Holidays".  Many of our fun pillow gifts came trimmed with star tags and once I saw them I just new it had to be this years tag for our family.

Christmas Tags

The craft wrapping paper seemed the perfect fit for the tags.

Christmas Tags Gifts

I had them all staged and ready to take a picture, but before I could get around to it, the granddaughters had been under the tree seeing which packages are for them.

Star framelit

It all started with cutting out the "Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper" with the "Star Collection Framelits."  I cut all sizes and colors and just started to put them together.  The paper is a cardstock weight which was wonderful to work with for my tags.  Here I have them all cut out and ready to go.  I just placed a smaller star on top of a larger star with a dimensional.

Christmas Gift Star Framlit Tags

Once the stars were assembled I placed some of them on tags I had created with the Tag Topper Punch.  So easy just take a  2" x 4 1/4" piece of Whisper White Cardstock and punch the top.  Some had Merry Christmas on the Tag and some I stamped Be Merry banners on.

Gold Metal Buttons

They would not have been complete without adding the "Gold Basic Metal Buttons".  They come 32 in a package 8 each of 4 designs and sizes and are just the perfect finishing touch.

Under the tree designer paper

The most amazing part is the Under the Tree Designer Paper is now on the Year End Closeout.  And don't forget you can add items from the clearance rack with your regular order and visa versa.

12 sheets: 2 ea. of 6 double-sided designs. Acid free, lignin free: Price $12.95 no only $5.19

Here is wishing you a Very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year!

I needed some last minute Christmas Cards so created this card.  While this card says Merry Christmas I could use the same design, stamp set and washi tape to create cards for any occasion.  Santa & Co Washi tape can add such a fun splash to any card.  While the name implies Christmas you will be able to use this washi tape all year long!  You only have until January 5th to place your orders for the Santa & Co. Washi Tape.

Santa & Co. Wahsi Tape ON SALE! only $1.99

The Gold Basic Metal Buttons are also featured in the Holiday Catalog, but I am excited to let you know that they will be a carried over in the Occasion's Catalog which starts January 6th.   The Gold Bakers Twine really finishes off the button.

Brushed gold paper

While it may be difficult to see in the photo the card base is made using the Brushed Gold Cardstock.  It has a subtle glimmer to add elegance and really comes together with the Gold Bakers Twine and Buttons.

Week 12 - 12 Weeks of Christmas Series

Hello Stampers,

Well today is our last cards in our 12 Weeks of Christmas series.  It's Alison today and Patsy and I have really enjoyed sharing our favourite picks from the Founder's Circle event we attended together in September.  There were 113 beautiful swap cards to pick from so it wasn't easy.

Here are my last 2 favourites:

12weeksofxmas7

This is such an elegant card using the Bright & Beautiful stamp set along with the matching Star Framelit dies to create a shaker card.  The words are from the Holiday Invitation stamp set.  Did you notice this set?  It's easy to miss but it covers all the holidays - I love the font.

The last card uses Circle Card Thinlits Die which creates a fast and easy flip card!  All the cutting and scoring is done by the die.  The main image is from Mingle All the Way stamp set and I love how it coordinates with our punches and dies making cutting the image out a snap!

12weeksxmas8

If you love these cards and want to re-create them for next year make sure you order the stamp sets before the Holiday Catalogue expires on January 5!

Patsy and I hope you've enjoyed our 24 card series over the past 12 weeks.  We both wish you all a very Merry Christmas and joyous holiday season.

TBT Why I love being part of Stampin' Up!

I have been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator going on 17 years now and one of many things I love about Stampin' Up! is their thinking of ways to be of service.  The past few years during events there is a service project and our Founder's Circle retreat was no exception.

I was thrilled to again achieve the Top 100 Demonstrators in 2014 and attend the Founder's Circle Retreat.  This week's TBT isn't going back too far just a few months to September.  Our final event was creating 3 large Christmas Trees to be donated for the Festival of Trees which every penny (100%) raised benefits children at Primary Children’s Hospital.

Click here to read more about this amazing event.

I want to share with you some pictures of our event along with the completed trees.

Festival of trees

The tree on the left is the one I helped make the garland for.  The 3 Trees brought in $7,900. for the Children's Hospital how cool is that!

Patsy with glitter-horz

Me with glue and glitter all over my fingers but look at the cool results.  The pine cones were attached to burlap and tied ribbons to create the garland.

Border buddy alison stamp crazy-horz

Border Buddy Alison Solven on the left working with the Big Shot, Brain King stamping and Linda Heller holding up her finished projects.  I feel very blessed to have some amazing, wonderful and encouraging demonstrator friends!

This time of year is often a time for reflection, caring and giving and I am so grateful to be part of a company that understands all that!

Learn 3 Quick Coloring Tips With Stampin' Up! Blendabilities

I am pretty sure there is no right or wrong way for you to color with Stampin' Up! Blendabilities. Today's tip will get you started showing you three different ways to color the same flower, giving you just a little bit different look for each.   Today's Quick Tip Video isn't exactly quick as it is about 4 tips in one.

Click here to watch today's Quick Tip Video on Blendabilities

Blendabilities flower shop

Today's card features the Flower Shop stamp set.  I chose to purchase mine in wood as I typically punch it out so I don't really need to know or see exactly where I am going to stamp it.   Stampin' Up! has three different types of stamps: Wood-Mount, Clear-Mount & Photopolymer.

I am excited to inform you that in the upcoming Occasions Catalog, some stamp sets will come in all three for you to choose from. How will you decide?

Here is some information that might make it easier for you to decide.

Wood mount

Wood Mount are a high-quality red rubber stamp which come with farmed-maple wood blocks you can mount these on permanently so they are ready to go when you are.

Clear mount

Clear-Mount Stamps are made of the same high-quality red rubber as the wood-mount stamps, but they're re-positionable.   You mount these temporarily on *clear acrylic blocks, then remove them for space-saving storage. You'll only need one set of blocks for all your clear-mount stamps using them over and over again.

Photopolymer stamps

Photopolymer Stamps  are entirely transparent for perfect image placement, and they adhere well to our *clear acrylic blocks

*(blocks sold separately).

Would love to have you share in the commnets which is your favorite to stamp with any why!

Week 11 - 12 Weeks of Stampin' Up! Christmas

It's Patsy here with week 11 of our Border Buddy 12 Weeks of Christmas which means there is only one Saturday's left before Christmas.  Have you sent out your Christmas cards yet?  Have your gifts all purchased wrapped and under the tree?

Here are today's share from our Founder's Circle favorites.

12 weeks of Christmas 11 Kay Kathoff

I absolutely LOVE the color combination and layout of this card that was stamped by Kay Kathoff.  Kay is an awesome stamper and I am often in awe of her work.  The stamp used for this card is from the Cheerful Christmas stamp set.  It has a bit of a scandinavian touch and comes in both wood-mount and clear-mount and includes 6 different stamps.

Click here to check out Cheerful Christmas in Wood-Mount

Click here to check out Cheerful Christmas in Clear-Mount

12 Weeks of Christmas 11

I simply can't remember who swapped this card with me.  The gold foil paper behind the wreath really sets it off.  This wreath (from the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set with coordinating framelit) is so fun and I have seen it used for every occasion including baby cards.  Would you like more ideas using either of these stamp sets?

Three tips of easy ways to find hand stamped card ideas.

  1. My blog of course or Alison's :)
  2. Visit Pinterest do a search for a particular stamp set you have click on pins.
  3. Do a google search example "lovely as a tree stampin up" hit enter and click on the option for image and it will open up every image tagged lovely as a tree on the Internet. WOW

These are just a few ways.  I will try to give you some more ideas in the future.

Throw Back Thursday Telescoping Stamping Technique

This Thursday brings us back another throw back stamping technique.   Today I used the single stamp set "Friends Who Know".  I enjoyed a chuckle as I read the sentiment.  "We'll be friends forever because you already know too much".  Do you have a special friend like that?  One you can count on in thick and thin.  I will be sending this to one of my special friends letting them know in a sentimental but a bit humorous way how important she is to me.

Telescoping Stamping Technique Friends Who Knew

I stamped the image with Lost Lagoon Ink 4 times and then cut it out with the coordinating framelit so there is no fussy cutting.  Layered them up with Dimensionals and then layered it on the Moonlight Path Designer Series Paper.

Lost lagoon ribbon stampin up

The Lost Lagoon Taffeta Ribbon on the card is from the Holiday Catalog.  I absolutely love this ribbon and will need to stock up on it, as it is only available for a few more weeks.

Telescoping technique

Be sure and check out the "old" post using this same technique, Click here watch the how to video and download a Free Tutorial.
