Good Things Come in Small Packages!

Hello Stampers,

It's Border Buddy Saturday and it's Alison here today!

Remember when we were little (or when our kids were little) and the best part of the present was the wrapping and the box it came in?  Well not much has changed.

At Leadership Conference, Stampin' Up! gave it's Leaders a beautiful gift of a Brighton Business Card Holder and I love it.  But secretly I was just as excited about the gorgeous box it came in.

Isn't this gorgeous?!  Now when someone asks me for a business card I'll have it in my purse and I can even tell them about the beautiful holder too.

It certainly has inspired me to make the container as beautiful as the gift inside.

Here are some other lovely "wrappings" to inspire you.

Do you recognize this paper?  It's from the Sale-a-bration brochure and it's called Irresistibly Yours (item #138635).  Free with your $50 purchase. This white paper with a glossy white pattern is perfect for colouring using a variety of techniques.  The embossed images "pop" when you add colour!

Here's one more using the same paper.

Quick Tip Wednesday - Lining Up Your Stamps!

Hello Stampers,

It's a Quick Tip Wednesday and it's Alison here. Today I'm going to show you how to line up several stamps on one block making stamping easy and fast!

I received this awesome card at Leadership (sorry no name on the back) and I wanted to stamp it without having to spend a long of time lining up all the images (7 altogether).

Here's a card I made for the March Border Buddy classes (Sneak Peek) and it was so much easier lining up all the images on one block, as opposed to stamping them each individually.

So I came up with a solution and I've shared it in the following video - Enjoy!

Hello Stampers,

Border Buddies Saturday, Patsy Here.

A Happy Thing Saleabration stamp set

Happiness is going to the mail and finding an envelope that you know holds a hand-stamped card. Recently I received this beautiful card along with a sweet note sent by Diva Pam Tobey who is a demonstrator and a member of my team, Diva & Dude Stampers.  Even though she lives states away I hold her dear in my  heart.   She used the exclusive Sale-A-Bration stamp set "A Happy Thing" and coloring the lemon with the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities.

Stampin' Up! Video Masking Technique with A Happy Thing

You are going to love today's video featuring my dear friend Bonnie Thurber Farley.  Bonnie is from the Stampin' Up! home office and is smart, funny, creative and caring.  She is going to show you the masking technique along with the blendabilities.  They always say a picture is worth a thousand words and I agree.  A video is the next best thing to seeing it in person.

Quick and Easy Card Template

Butterfly basic stampin up stamp set

Three reasons I love clean and simple styled cards.

  1. Quick and easy
  2. Classic look
  3. Duplicatable

You and I both have busy lives and not always enough time to stamp as much as we would like to.  Most clean and simple hand stamped cards are quicker to make than going to the store and buying a card.   They are pleasing to the eye and while quick and simple people will think you fussed.

Stamping Tip... Find a go to card template when time is limited.

Card template

Today's Birthday card was designed using my go to template.   Just take your 5 1/2" x 11" cardstock fold in half.

  • Add a coordinating square piece of cardstock.
  • You can vary the size of the square.
  • Sometimes the square is stamped and sometimes I use a Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper.
  • The banner can be made with cardstock or try an alternative ribbon in it's place.
  • Then stamp your focal point and place in the upper right hand corner of the square.

And you have a awesome quick and easy, clean and simple card that looks like your fussed!

Here are the measurements for the card:

  • The card base is 5 ½” x 11”
  • The Blackberry Bliss Matt 4” x 5 ¼”
  • The square 3” x 3”
  • The Happy Birthday Banner 1” x 3”

See What You Can Do With the Boho Blossom Punch

2-7 Bordering Blooms closeup
Border Buddies Saturday, Patsy here...

I hope you find some time to stamp this weekend.  I wanted to share with you this clean and simple card using the photopolymer Bordering Bloom stamp set and how to create this 3D flower using the Stampin' Up! Boho Blossom Punch and some Lost Lagoon Cardstock.

Stampin' Up! punches are top quality and will last for years to come.  They take a a lot of punching and mine are proof of that since I use them for classes and team events making them punching thousands of times.  They are also exclusive to Stampin' Up! and many are designed to work perfectly with coordinating stamp sets.

2-7 Bordering Blooms

Stampin' Up! colors used Early Espresso and Lost Lagoon and the flower is accented with the Antique Brads.

Watch Today's Video to see how to create this cute little 3D flower using the Boho punch.  And don't forget it's Sale-a-brations!  Watch the video for details on how to making this card.
