Amazing Birthday "Happy" Hello You Thinlits Dies

Happy - what makes you happy?  For me it is warm spring days, followed by hot summer days.  Hot summer days are a ways away so for now I will just think happy thoughts and using the "happy" from the Hello You Thinklits dies will make the days pass faster.

Sunday was the perfect stamping day here cold, windy and rainy.  So I stamped up a storm no pun intended.  Here is one of the fun cards I created.

Amazing Birthday Hand stamped card

The Crushed Curry card base is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"

Then a Layer of Bermuda Bay a layer of 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

The Confetti Celebration Designer Paper 3 3/4" x 5"

The Make Today ridiculously Amazing is from the Amazing Birthday Stampin' Up! stamp set. I colored the stamp with Many Marvelous Markers and stamped it on Whisper White Cardstock 2" x 3 3/4"

Many Marvelous Markers used to color the stamp:

  • Make (Tangerine Tango)
  • Today (Crushed Curry)
  • Ridiculously (Rich Razzelberry)
  • Amazing (Bermuda Bay)

Stampin Up Hello You Thinlits Dies

I cut the "happy" out of Basic Black Cardstock with The Big Shot using the Hello You Thinlits Dies.

The 134363 Hello Thinlits Dies are not available to order right now,  but do add them to your wish list so when they become available again you won't miss them.

Thanks for you patience with some of the popular Occasion Catalog items that have been on a backorder due to the west coast port workers strike on the west coast.  Many items are sitting in containers on the west coast docks and even thought the 9 month strike was settled on February 21 there is still a large bottle neck at the port.  Keeping fingers crossed they will be arriving soon!

Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper Just a Few Days Left

Best ever year designer series paper 2
Patsy here for Border Buddies Saturday.   The Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper is only available for a few more days so please don't miss your opportunity to add this colorful paper to your stamping collection of patterned paper.

These fun detailed patterns feature Stampin' Up! colors Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede and Whisper White.

Here are a few samples from the Stampin' Up! home office featuring the Best Year Ever Designer Paper.

Best Year Ever Paper

With this fun fold card the card opens in the center.  I love how they cut out the heart with the Big Shot and the Heart Collection framlits and then cut the heart in half and placed one on each side of the opening.  Super Cute

For this fun fold card just take your 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" cardstock and place it in your Stampin' Trimmer landscape and score at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8".

Best year Ever paper 2

For this card they used a piece of the dotted Coastal Cabana for the background and then stamped the Thanks from the Sale-a-bration stamp set For Being You in Tuxedo Black.   Then they cut out each letter and layered them on top of the other designer paper.  How fun and bold!

Balloon Bash #happybirthday #hashtags #earnfreecards

I am not sure if you are like me and totally do not understand the hashtag thing.  The Balloon Bash stamp set has a few hashtags in it which make for a trendy addition to your birthday cards.  This set is also featured in my April Earn Free Cards.

Click here to find out how you can earn free cards along with a Free 8 Page Tutorial.

Hashtag balloon bash

The arrow is pointing out the happy birthday hashtag.

The word hashtag was recently added to the Oxford Dictionary:  (On social media sites such as Twitter) a word or phrase preceded by a hash or pound sign (#) and used to identify messages on a specific topic.

Hashtags can help you find endless card ideas.

  • If you want to search for cards made using Balloon Bash just type #balloonbash in your web address bar.
  • Then just below the address bar you will see a row of terms first usually Web then Images, Video's, Shopping etc.
  • Click on the word images and you will find hundreds of card ideas.  You can do this for any Stampin' Up! stamp set you own.

Birthday Bash 3

This cards is stamped using the Balloon Bash photopolymer stamp set that is in the Occasions Catalog.  The Occasions catalog is good until June 2.  There are so many amazing things in the occasions catalog my wish list is endless as I am sure your is too.

Border Buddy Saturday - Last Call for Lotus Blossom!

Hello Stampers,

It's Border Buddy Saturday and it's Alison here today!

When I first became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in 2002 my favourite stamp set was Terrific Tulips.  It was a 2-step stamp set and it looked gorgeous everytime.  So when the Lotus Blossom set was one of the Free offerings for Sale-a-bration I was so excited because it's the same kind of stamp.  Stamp images one on top of the other to create dimension.   It's free with a $50 purchase (before shipping/taxes) until March 31st.

Here are some of my favourite cards using this set I received from my stamping friends.

By Ellie Blake - also uses the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper during Sale-a-bration but only while supplies last!

By Melva Peters - colours for the blossom are Blackberry Bliss (flower #1), Blackberry Bliss (flower #2, stamped off once first before stamping) and Smoky Slate (flower #3, stamped off once before stamping), Wild Wasabi for stem.  It also uses the free Sale-a-bration reward Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Paper.

By Yvonne Jackson - colours on lotus blossom - Calypso Coral (flower #1), Calypso Coral (flower #2, stamped off once before stamping), Crisp Cantaloupe (flower #3).  The card also uses images from the Butterfly Basics Stamp set using Pear Pizzaz and Crumb Cake inks.  After stamping the left side is run through the Big Shot and the the Modern Mosaic Embossing folder.

Celebrate Today with Balloon Curvy Strings!

If your balloons are filled with helium you may want straight as an arrow stings.  While I have stamped many cards that way for this card I wanted a more curvy string.

Celebrate today stamp set curvy strings

The wonderful advantage to Photopolymer Stamps, besides seeing through them, is they are flexible so you can shape them a bit without harming the stamp.  The straight string stamp I applied to the block with a bit of a wave to create the curvy strings.

Celebrate today bundle

The Celebrate Today stamp set has been a top seller for me.  You can get this great photopolymer stamp set with coordinating framelits so no fussy cutting needed.  Bundle the two together and save 15%.

"Just Because" Sheltering Tree Card

Stampin' Up! always seems to have awesome tree stamp sets and Sheltering Tree Photopolymer stamp set (#3137163) is no exception.

Sheltering tree stamp set

I love all the elements that go with it.  As soon as the Occasions Catalog came out I knew this one was going to need a place on my shelf.

Thinlits™ - Framelits™ What's the difference?

Hello Stampers,

Border Buddies Saturday, Patsy here.   Thinlits™ and Framelits™ they look the same why the different names?   They are both wafer-thin chemical-etched dies designed to cut a single sheet of cardstock, designer paper of vellum using the Big Shot.

Hello you thinlits sample

Thinlits are used to cut out an element to add to a card that is a stand alone - no coordinating stamp set needed.

Framelits are used for easy cutting out a shape that frames a stamped image or creating a window.  Many of our stamps have coordinating Framelits which make it so easy without any fussy cutting.

Hello You Thinlits 2

Here I used the Hello from the Hello You Thinlits to embellish this card.  The patterned paper is from the paper stack All Abloom.  The little paper stacks are perfect for card makers.

Hello You Thinlits 1

This card uses the same template but I used the negative part of the thinlit to create a see through with cardstock behind it.
