Stampin' Up! Timeless Elegance Thank You Card

The Timeless Elegance is part of the Stampin' Up! collection of designer papers.  The coordinating colors are Sahara Sand, Basic Black and Very Vanilla.  For today's card I wanted to en-cooperate a little color.

I started out with the original paper...

 

And added a little color with an Aquapainter and Stampin' Up! 2014-2016 In-Color Lost Lagoon ink refill.  I colored in the flower to give it some soft color like this...

It is a little hard to tell but I did add some Dazzling Diamond glitter to the center of the flowers with my Two-Way Glue.  Sometimes when I look at a card and think it needs just a little something more Dazzling Diamonds is all it needs.

I love mixed fonts greetings and the Thank You from the Painted Petals stamp set was a perfect fit for this card.  The finishing touch was the new 5/8" Stripped Cotton Ribbon that comes in the 2014-2016 In-Colors.

Timeless Elegance and Butterflies Just for You

I can't get enough of stamping with the Watercolor Wings stamp set.  Today's card is in one of my favorite simple color combinations black and yellow.  On of my cards with the most pins on pinterest (almost 2,000 pins) is stamped in Basic Black and Daffodil Deight - who would think!  But I admit it makes a stunning card!

This stamp set paired with the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper makes a perfect match!

Add a touch of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter by running a little bit of Two Way glue where I wanted the glitter - pouring the glitter over and pizzazz! It just needed a little something more!  Just added some of our 1/4" Cotton Ribbon in Daffodil Delight.  A plus with this ribbon is it ties easily and lays flat for easy mailing.

It's Border Buddy Saturday and it's Alison here this week with a share of some of my favourite swap cards from the past few months.  I have some talented friends for sure!

How many of you used to say this when you were a kid?  Remember the ice cream truck?  It always came right after dinner in our neighbourhood and we all ran behind him until he stopped.  My favourite treat was called a Treasure Island, sort of like a Creamsicle but way better!

One of my favourite new stamp sets is Sprinkles of Life and here are some cool treats using the set along with the matching Tree Builder Punch!  Sprinkles of Life is this year's Ronald McDonald stamp set and for every set sold $3 is donated to Ronald McDonald House charities.

This card uses a fancy fold in the corner just to give it a big more interest!  My friend Diane Evans stamped this bright and cheery card.  I love how she finished it off with some glitter!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This card was designed by my sister, Mo Dickie.  I think Mo's favourite flavour is chocolate mint and this sure looks like it...although it's kinda sad that the top scoop fell off!

Three Cards Same Layout Easy to Follow Card Measurements

Today is the first day of the Stampin’ Up! Convention it is always so exciting and so much to see and do.

I often plan on posting way more than I do.  If you want up to the minute updates as to what I am up to at convention be sure and visit my Facebook page, well okay maybe not up to the minute but recent LOL.

Today’s card is the same layout as my convention swap that I shared with you last Thursday.  So I basically cased (copy and share everything) my own card.

Most people seem to have difficulty with the measurements for cards. So just bookmark this spot and when you are stumped for creating a card just come back here and change up the paper and stamp set but use the measurements.

• Tangerine Tango Card Base is 4 ¼” x 11” for a top open (you can make it 5 ½” x 8 ½” if you want it to open on the side)
• The next layer is Pacific Point 4” x 5 ¼” The Whisper White piece is 3 ¾” x 5”
• The next layer of Pacific Point is 3” x 4 ¼”
• The next layer of Schoolhouse Designer Paper is 2 ¾” x 4”

Now here is another card sample made with the same template just different colors, designer paper and stamp set. This card is made using the Butterfly Basic stamp set along with the Butterflies Framelits.

The colors are Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Mint Macaron and Very Vanilla.

It comes in an adorable little orange box around the middle of the month with a surprise stamping kit in it.  I am going to share this months that I got yesterday so you can see what you are missing.

First this adorable little Thanks a Latte stamp set - oh my gosh it is so cute - plus I love that the little Stampin' Spots come in the kit, they are great to take with when I travel.  Often times I throw one of the kits and snail in my carry on and stamp while I travel. 

Besides the stamp set you get everything else you need except your basic adhesive.  My adhesive of choice is snail, but you can use a glue stick what ever you wish.   Dimensional and other specialty adhesives you might need like glue dots are included in the kit.

More than a Sneak Peak

I promised you a sneak peak of my Stampin' Up! 2015 Convention Swap, But I decided to give you the whole enchilada!  I loved how this card turned out using the Elegant Butterfly Punch along with the Bitty Butterfly Punch.  The\is color scheme made up of Rich Razzeberry, Bermuda Bay, Delight Dijon and Blackberry Bliss is stunning.

August is my Stampin' Up! Anniversary Month - 17 years already - WOW I thought this would be a passing fad and I would enjoy it while it lasted.   My business continues to grow stronger ever year and never did I think I would have a job that was this much fun.   Stamping and sharing what could be better. 

My name tag and bag voucher arrived yesterday.  I can't wait to see what bag we are going to receive at this years convention.  Keeping my fingers crossed it is the same one they got in Australia at the South Pacific Convention in April.

I have been stamping up a storm, while the thunderstorms roll through Minnesota.  It is so much fun when you are on a creative roll to just keep stamping.  I asked my granddaughter which was her favorite card from the pile and she picked this one.  So today I am going to share Kitana's favorite card I stamped this past week.

• Happy Birthday from the Buttefly Basics stamp set stamped in Tuxedo Black.
• Butterfly cut out with the Bold Butterfly Framelits with the Silver Foil Paper and embellished with the Basic Rhinestone Jewels.

The Timeless Elegance paper is an assortment of very vanilla with gray scale designs simple but beautiful!  Here are a few samples that were featured in the Stampin' Up! Catalog.
