Hello Stampers,
It's Border Buddy Saturday and it's Alison here today!
One of the sets I'm in love with from the Holiday Catalog is called Happy Scenes and it's awesome for Christmas, Halloween and more! Here's a card I received at Founder's Circle by Susan Adams, a Utah Demonstrator.
I love this card so much! The way Susan used the Leaflet framelit and have the scene show through is brilliant I think.
The Hardwood background stamp set is perfect with the theme of the card and it just adds to the autumn feel of the card.
In this close up you can see how softly this is colored and the popped up frame gives the card dimension.
Here's another card using the Leaflet Framelits in a more traditional way. This card uses the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set and the images are cut out with the dies. Isn't it beautiful?
Here is an awesome idea on how to use the Leaflets Framelits Die as a stencil. First place the stencil on the paper and using a dauber sponge ink into the shape. Remove the stencil and stamp the matching image on top with a darker image. You are left with a layered ink look!
And…lastly…if you are feeling really adventurous how about this amazing autumn wreath made with the Vintage Leaves sets and the Leaflet Framelits?!
The Happy Scenes stamp set is one of our Border Buddy stamp sets for October. If you placed an Online order on Patsy's site in September you will receive a Free 8 page PDF Tutorial with images and instructions on how to make 4 cards using the Happy Scenes and 4 cards using the Vintage Stamp Set. If you placed an order of $50 or more from Patsy (in the US) you will also receive 4 handmade cards in the mail from this month's class.
