Many of our readers have been following our CASE Series for the past month now, but for those just joining in…
Alison is an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator like myself in Canada. Several years ago we decided to partner up and become Border Buddies!
Alison Solven and I were talking on the phone one day and she asked what I thought about doing a series on CASEing* cards from the catalog. I couldn't hardly believe what I heard, since just days before I had written down the very same idea. While we are not related and we live in two different countries we are very similar in many ways! We have many of the same values and business practices and I feel blessed to be her buddy.
CASEing COPY AND SHARE EVERYTHING is when you pick out a card and either copy it exactly or change up the stamp set or colors or maybe even both, but if you go too far you are then creating your very own card and just are inspired by the card or project you started to CASE.
The More you CASE the more you learn to be creative so there is nothing wrong with CASEing!
Today the card is an exact CASE featuring the Birthday Blossoms stamp set on page 13 of the e2016-2017 Annual Catalog. They may have used Crushed Curry for the flowers sometimes it is hard to tell, I used Delightful Dijon. I did change the orientation of how it opened – I find for photographing the top fold works best for me.
While the colors on this card are more muted it does just look happy with the tall flower growing up along the white brick wall.
