Welcome to Sunday Sketches by Stamps to die For.
Each Sunday I post a card sketch along with a card I created using the sketch. Sketches often help get my creativity fired up.
Sketches are open to interpretation. You can create a card exactly using the sketch layout, using a square where there is a square, or you can change it to a be a circle, or oval or flower etc. You can also turn the sketch so if it is a vertical sketch you might want to turn it to be horizontal.
Let your imagination run wild!
I would love if you use the sketch to stamp a card that you would share it on Facebook Page, just take a quick photo with your smart phone (doesn't have to be fancy) and upload it to my page https://www.facebook.com/stampstodiefor/.

While this sketch has a square for it's focal point you could substitute it with a circle or oval what every shape you might like. The little banner could be replaced with a ribbon or another shape of your choice. Let your imagination run away with you.
The cute little bear is from the Stampin' Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and punched out using the coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch. The cute little saying "Have Yourself a Beary Merry Christmas" reminds me of when our daughter Danielle was in the 2nd grade and on her spelling paper she put "berry" for "very" with a smile beside it. There was a commercial jingle that used berry in place of very. I don't remember that her teacher thought it was as cute as I did.
The designer paper I used is from the Stampin' Up! Candy Cane Designer Series collection. It just makes you think about Christmas and if the fall goes as fast as the summer it is just around the corner! Did your summer go fast too?
For this card the Stampin' Up! concept artist cut out the designs from the Candy Cane Designer Paper. How fun is that.
You could easily change the colors and patterned paper to create a Welcome Baby Card, the possibilities are endless.
Thanks again so much for following my blog and remember I love to hear from you – so if there is something special you would like to see let me know and if I can I will be happy to share it with you.
