It's Border Buddy Saturday and it's Alison here today!
Last weekend I attended a business conference in Toronto with 80 Canadian demonstrators and participated in a few swaps including one using the High Tide Stamp Set from the Occasions catalogue. One of my favourite things about Stampin' Up! events is the swapping!
This was my swap card for the High Tide stamp set. I made 10 of these and received the same amount back from my fellow demonstrators.
The stamp set features a two step technique. This is where you stamp one image (in this case in Smoky Slate) and a second image on top (I used Island Indigo) to create a final image that has some dimension. I added some Wink of Stella to the "light" to give it some sparkle.
I'm lucky that both of my sisters are also Leaders and attended the event with me. Here are their swap cards using the High Tide stamp set.
Doesn't this remind you of Cape Cod? My sister, Mo Dickie (from Toronto) created a beautiful New England scene with her card.
This card was created by my sister, Ellie Blake (Pickering, Ontario) and I'm loving the colours she used for her lighthouse. This one reminds me of Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia. It also makes me long for some warm sunny summer days! I love the sentiments in this set which are perfect for so many occasions.
Patsy and I love this set so much it's one of the sets we've selected for our Border Buddy free card program in March! Learn more about our FREE cards - Patsy (US), Alison (Canada)
