There are many storms in life and it is always better to Weather Together when they arrive. My Mother was a wonderful person who often reminded us that in the big scheme of life "everything is going to be okay". When she was diagnosed with late stage ovarian cancer just 2 weeks after our father passed my brother, my sister and I were all sitting around her hospital bed. It was a devastating blow so suddenly after our father's passing from an unexpected heart attack.
As we began to weep my Mother reminded us that everything was going to be alright, my sister (10 years my junior) looked up at her through her tears and said "Yes I know Mom but in my little world right now it really sucks!" we all laughed. My Mom fought a tough battle for 5 years. That storm was weathered together not only by my family but so many amazing stamping friends from across the country! Near and far stampers said prayers, sent cards and I felt lots of arms around me from across the miles.
While many umbrella's keep out the rain as I created this card I thought about how I would love for my umbrella to symbolize the love and support of my stamping friends. Each flower represents the many friends who have supported me through the storms of life. You can see my umbrella is overflowing and running off the card. I am blessed!
Each Sunday I share a cards sketch and today we are on week 39, time goes so fast! I would love to see what card you come up with using the sketch.
And if you create a card using the sketch I would love to have you share it on My Facebook Page.
