This Month's Color Your World International Color Challenge

Color Your World International Blog Hop Color Challenge June 2017

The Color Palette is... Stampin' Up! colors Pear Pizzazz, Tangerine Tango, Garden Green, So Saffron, Berry Burst.

I try to in-cooperate all the colors into my card, you  don't have to use all the colors to play along.  This month is one of my favorite color pallets.  I am a Brights' Color Family kind of girl.

I just love the Bunch of Blossom stamp set that I used to create this card, along with the Blossom Builder Punch.  I love the dimension two step stamps give to your hand stamped cards.  This stamp set is one of our photopolymer stamp sets which is totally clear and makes lining up the stamp so easy.

The fun Bitty Felt Bow is a new product and comes in the new 2017-2019 In-Colors, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig colors.  You get 20 bows in all (4 each of the 5 colors).  They are self adhesive making it easy to just peel and place on your card.

Color Your World International Blog Up May 2017

The Color Palette is... Smoky Slate, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze.

I try to in-cooperate all the colors into my card, but you  don't have to use all the colors to play along.

Color Your World Internationals Blog Hop May 2017 - www.stampstodiefor.com

It's all about flowers today in my creation using today's color challenge.  I choose the Smoky Slate for my card base.

Color Your World Internationals Blog Hop May 2017 - www.stampstodiefor.com 123

The celebrate is an impression rather than embossed and was created using the Celebration Duo Impressions Embossing Folder.  I then stamped the solid image in So Saffron Classic Ink using a stamp from the Happy Celebrations stamp set right over the top of the impressed celebrate.

Color Your World Internationals Blog Hop May 2017 - www.stampstodiefor.com 12

I used Cajun Craze Classic Ink to stamp the flowers on So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie cardstock and then cut them out with the coordinating May Flowers Framelits & Big Shot. Love it when I don't have to do any fussy cutting.

Do you ever make your own envelopes?

I don't make them often but I do love square cards.  This card will fit into a traditional envelope however I love making a coordinating envelope with the Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch Board.  It is super simple with the directions printed right on front of the board so I don't have to go looking through piles of papers for them.

This Month's Color Your World Color Challenge

Color Your World Blog Hop Color Challenge Feb 2017
You don't have to use all the colors to play along - but I do like to try and in-cooperate them all in my card.  This month I loved the colors (I like bright and turquoise is one of my favorite).

But when I started to stamp, I must admit I felt a bit hand tied.   So the card I am about to share with you took a couple hours to create. I should have taken pictures of the work in progress and the rejects.   This one too almost ended up in the circular file.

Color Your World Blog Hop Color Challenge www.stampstodiefor.com 4
I will admit I hated this card when I was done.  But like many cards I sat it on my shelf for a few days and kept looking at it and finally one morning I thought, you know it isn't so bad.

Brief Instructions for the hand stamped card...

  • The card base is Soft Sky (4 1/4" x 11").
  • The Whisper White (4" x 5 1/4") I cut out the clouds with the Big Shot and the Up & Away Framelits Dies and then embossed with the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder.
  • For the Balloons, I used the Balloon Celebration Stamp Set in Dapper Denim Ink on Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Tempting Turquoise Cardstock and punched them out with coordinating Balloon Bouquet Punch.
  • I attached the Crushed Curry Baker's twine to the end of each balloon.
  • I stamped the Banner from the Birthday Banners Stamp Set in Dapper Denim on Whisper White and cut out with the Big Shot and the coordinating Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies.
  • I stamped Happy Birthday in Pumpkin Pie in the center of the Banner.
  • Then I collected the bakers twine and put a dimensional over the top and placed the banner on top of the dimensional.
  • I finished it off with putting a Pumpkin Pie Enamel Star on the Daffodil Delight Balloon, A Tempting Turquoise one on the Pumpkin Pie Balloon and the Daffodil Delight Star on the Tempting Turquoise Balloon.

Color Your World Blog Hop - Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set

International Stampin' Up! Blog Hop

It's time for the Color Your World Blog hop. Featuring Top Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world sharing our hand stamped projects using a special color palette.

Today's Color Palette is...

Stampin' Up! Peekaboo Peach, Soft Sky, Early Espresso and Smoky Slate

January 2017 Color Your World Blog Hop

I like to try and use all of the colors in the palette and sometimes it can be a real challenge.   Today's palette was no exception, but I did get them all in.

Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! www.stampstodiefor.com

The card base is Early Espresso with two layers of patterned paper from the Cupcakes & Carousel Designer Series Paper Stack from the 2017 Occasions Catalog.   The 6 x 6 stack coordinates with Stampin' Up! colors Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, Peekaboo Peach, So Saffron and Very Vanilla.

Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! www.stampstodiefor.com 2

The dragonfly is two layers the bottom layer was cut out using the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Die and Soft Sky cardstock.  The top dragonfly was stamped using the detailed dragonfly from the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set, Early Espresso Classic Ink and Smoky Slate cardstock and cut out using the coordinating thinlits.

I topped off the dragonfly with one of the Classy Designer Buttons and some Linen Thread.

The Dragonfly Stamp Set and coordinating Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies from the 2017 Occasions Catalog can be purchased as a bundle to save 10%.

Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! www.stampstodiefor.com 3

The circle was cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits (LOVE THESE!!!!).  And the good news is they became available again yesterday.  The set comes with 12 different size framelits, 4 circles, 4 ovals and 4 squares.

The Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set is a photopolymer stamp set which allows for some flexibility of how you place it on your acrylic block.   The sentiment "Enjoy your special day!" is a straight sentiment, I wanted to curve it along the edge of the circle so as I placed it on the block and curved it as I laid it down.

You can click here to check out the new 2017 Occasion Catalog Products.  I would love to have you SHARE which new bundle from the 2017 Occasions Catalog is your favorite.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and I hope you enjoy the hop!

Color Your World International Blog Hop - Jolly Friends stamp set and Jolly Hat Builder Punch by Stampin Up www.stampstodiefor.com

When I saw that Basic Gray was on the list I thought the snowflake paper from the This Christmas Specialty Designer Paper would be the perfect background.

Measurements:

  • Cardbase: 4 1/4" x 11 for top fold, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" for side fold.
  • Snowflake Paper: 3 3/4" x 5 1/2"
  • The Cherry Cobbler Scallop Circle: 3 1/16"  (from the Layering Circles Framelits)
  • The Always Artichoke Stitched Circle: 2 7/8" (is from the Stitched Shape Framelits which have been so popular they are sold out for the time being and will be available mid January).
  • The hat I colored Cherry Cobbler and Cajun Craze alternating with Stampin' Write Markers.
  • The Jolly Hat Builder punch does punch out the hat and trip but the moose and scarf I did fussy cut

Color Your World International Blog Hop - Jolly Friends stamp set and Jolly Hat Builder Punch by Stampin Up www.stampstodiefor.com 23

I used the Merry Christmouse from the Merry Mice stamp set but covered up the mouse with MOOSE.  I stamped the MOOSE using the Labeler Alphabet set.  I cut one banner using the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits and Big Shot.  I cut on in Very Vanilla and another in Cherry Cobbler.  I cut the Cherry Cobbler one in half and attached behind each end of the Very Vanilla with just a little bit peeking out.

Labeler Alphabet stamp set by Stampin' Up!

I think you will find all kinds of uses for this stamp set to create the perfect sentiment.  This set is a Photopolymer set making it easy to use and you even get doubles of some of the more popular letters.

Color Your World World Blog Hop - Sheltering Tree

International Stampin' Up! Blog Hop

Today's is the day for a trip around the world!  It is the 3rd Tuesday which means it is Color Your World International Blog Hop.  Featuring amazing Top Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world sharing their hand stamped project using Stampin' Up! paper crafting products and a special color palette.

Today's Color Palette is...

Delightful Dijon, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red and Garden Green.

Stampin Up Color Palette for November Color Your World Blog Hop

I love to try and get all the colors in the palette on my hand stamped card.  The first thing I do when I get the palette from the group is pull swatches of the cardstock out and lay them together.

A couple seemed to say create something Christmas while the others screamed it isn't Christmas yet.  While I struggled a bit I think I was successful in using all the Stampin' Up! colors in the challenge.

Color Your World Blog Hop - Sheltering Tree stamp set by Stampin Up
I had the card sitting on my desk and my husband came in and said "Did you make that one"?  I said "yes", he said "Nice Card".  I always consider it a success if he likes my cards since he is my critique (but also my biggest supporter too).   He also has a very good eye for things.

Color Your World Blog Hop - Sheltering Tree stamp set by Stampin Up www.stampstodiefor.com

Most of you know my love for trees and this Sheltering Tree Stamp Set is on my list of favorites!

  • The card base is So Saffron Stampin' Up! Cardstock
  • The mat is Early Espresso cardstock
  • The stamped image is on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock
  • I stamped the leave three times, once with So Saffron Classic Ink, once with Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink and once in Delightful Dijon Classic Ink.
  • The grass below the tree is the Garden Green.
  • The tree trunk and wheels to the bicycle is Early Espresso with a touch of Real Red for the bicycle frame.
  • I stamped the sentiment from Sheltering Tree in Early Espresso.
  • The heart is cut out in Real Red cardstock using the Sweet & Sassy Framelits & Big Shot.

Lovely as a Tree

International Stampin' Up! Blog Hop

Today's is the day for a trip around the world!  It is the 3rd Tuesday which means it is Color Your World International Blog Hop.  Featuring amazing Top Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world sharing their hand stamped project using Stampin' Up! paper crafting products and a special color palette.

Today's Color Palette is...

Color Your World International Blog Hop September

We have the blessing of living on a lake and I never take it for granted.  Most often people think of sunsets, but something that is often not mentioned is Sunrises.

Sunrise over Lake Henry Minnesota

We have some of the most amazing sunrises and when I saw this one the other morning I thought of our color palette and it inspired me to create a sunrise card using the Lovely as a Tree stamp set.

Color Your World International Blog Hop Lovely as a Tree stamp set by Stampin' Up! 2

Of all the cards I send I am most grateful for a hand stamped card to send when someone passes.  It just seems more personal and filled with more love.  Our lives have been touched with more loss the past few years.  Maybe that is a sign of ageing.  Like a sunrise giving us a new day, death is also new day and is very bitter sweet.

Color Your World International Blog Hop Lovely as a Tree stamp set by Stampin' Up! 3

Brief Description:

I used four of the 5 colors in the palette today Elegant Eggplant, Peekaboo Peach, Perfect Plum and Pink Pirouette.

  • The card base is Elegant Eggplant paper (4 1/4" x 11" or you can make your base 5 1/2" x 8 1/2").
  • The mat is the Peekaboo Peach paper (3 3/4" x  5").
  • I stamped the row of trees & sentiment in Elegant Eggplant Classic Ink on a piece of (3 1/2" x 4 3/4") Very Vanilla Cardstock.
  • Then I sponged in this order from bottom to top: Pink Pirouette, Peekaboo Peach, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant Classic Inks to create the sunrise.
  • Tied a Peekaboo Peach ruched ribbon between the trees and sentiment.
  • Then I attached three sequins I pulled off my string of Blushing Bride Sequins using glue dots.

Final touch is I added some Wink of Stella to give the sunrise some glimmer.

I hope you are enjoying the Color Your World Blog Hop...

Today's is your day for a trip around the world!  It is the 3rd Tuesday which means it is Color Your World International Blog Hop.  Featuring amazing Top Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world sharing their hand stamped project using Stampin' Up! paper crafting products.

Today's Color Palette is...

Color Your World International Blog Hop September 2016

The color palette is our starting point and we are not required to use all of the colors, however I like to challenge myself and work them all in.  Sometimes it is not easy to get the right balance of color.  Today's palette is Stampin' Up! colors Dapper Denim, Crushed Curry, Chocolate Chip, Melon Mambo and Cherry Cobbler.

Color Your World International Blog Hop Stampin Up Paisleys & Posies stamp set and coordinating Thinlits 2 www.stampstodiefor.com

I used the New Paisleys & Posies Stamp Set from the 2016 Holiday Catalog.  Growing up in the 60's paisley's were a popular fashion statement.  So working with this set brought back some fond memories.

I trimmed the flap of an envelope with the coordinating Petals & Paisley's Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Color Your World International Blog Hop Watercolor Wishes Stamp Set

International Stampin' Up! Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends, it is the 3rd Tuesday which means it is Color Your World International Blog Hop.  Featuring amazing Top Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world sharing their hand stamped using Stampin' Up! paper crafting products.

Today's Color Palette is...

Color Your World International Blog Hop Stamps to Die For

The color palette is our starting point and we are not required to use all of the colors, however I like to challenge myself and work them all in.  Sometimes it is not easy to get the right balance of color.  Today's palette of Rich Razzleberry, Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizazz, Sweet Sugar Plum and Pink Pirouette was a bit of a challenge but I am pleased with my finally card.

Color Your World International Blog Hop Stampin Up Watercolor Wings Stamp Set Pop Up Card Front www.stampstodiefor.com

I chose the Stampin' Up! Watercolor Wishes Stamp Set and the Bold Butterfly Framelits and the Butteflies Thinlits to create today's card.  It is always amazing to me how in the beginning I don't think the colors will work together - but they do.

The card was inspired by a swap card that Becky Roberts made (her work is amazing).  Swap cards are cards demonstrators make and take to Stampin' Up! events and then swap cards with each other, pretty fun!

Color Your World International Blog Hop Stampin Up Watercolor Wings Stamp Set Pop Up www.stampstodiefor.com

I added a little something extra inside, some pop out butterflies.

Color Your World International Blog Hop Stampin Up Watercolor Wings Stamp Set Pop Up Close Up www.stampstodiefor.com

Here is the list of things I used to make this card.

  • The card base is Pink Pirouette Cardstock (5 1/2" x 8 1/2")
  • The mat is Rich Razzleberry (3 3/4" x 5" )
  • The stamped dots are from the Stampin' Up! Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and stamped in Pear Pizazz Classic Ink.
  • The solid butterfly from the Stampin' Up! Watercolor Wings stamp set is stamped in Peekaboo Peach Classic Ink
  • The words are stamped with Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink
  • The ornate butterfly is cut out or Sweet Sugarplum cardstock using the Big Shot & Stampin' Up! Bold Butterfly Framelit
  • The smallerbutterfly is punched out of Rich Razzleberry cardstock using the Stampin' Up! Bitty Butterfly Punch
  • I love the Stampin' Up! Metal Rimmed Pearl & a hint Metallic Silver Thread that finished off the butterfly.

Color Your World International Blog Hop Stampin Up Watercolor Wings Stamp Set Pop Up Inside butterflies www.stampstodiefor.com

The inside row of butterflies are stamped with Peekaboo Peach and Rich Razzleberry Ink and cut out using the Butterflies Thinlits.

So easy to make I just ...

  1. Stamped and cut out 5 butterflies
  2. Folded the butterflies in half
  3. Placed a small drop of glue on the tip of each wing and connected the wings together
  4. And then attached the outside wings to the left and right side of the inside of the card.

So simple but gives the card an extra little WOW.

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out today's post.
