Border Buddy Saturday - Color Theory Suite by Stampin' Up!

Hello Stampers,

It's Border Buddy Saturday today, Patsy Here.

In a perfect world I would have several hours a day to sit and read in an Adirondack chair. I have saved numerous photos of pairs of them where people are sitting gazing out over the water. Maybe that is why I fell in love with the Colo Theory Suite. The Seasonal Layers Thinlits has a die for every season and this cute little Adirondack chair.

The crackle paper in Old Olive is from the Color Theory Paper Stack. The stack has 48 sheets: 4 each of 12 double sided designs in 6" x 6". The dot embellishments are from the Glitter Enamel Dots.

The card Base is Beery Burst a new 2017-2019 In- Color.

I know sometimes people think "but they won't last long". Tom and I went to the movies the other night and it was over $30 for the two of us. Of course that included popcorn but that is one of the reasons we go to the theater. Buying all the In-Color ink pads and a package of the assorted paper is no more than a trip to the movies. The move only last maybe 2 hours if you are lucky. The pads and paper will last you at least two years.

Many of you become friends and some are like family. I would often get request from someone in Canada who wanted to place an order with me. Border Buddy Saturday - Crafting Forever

It's Border Buddy Saturday it's Alison here today!

As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator we get lots of perks including the opportunity to get our hands on new product before they go on sale to customers. One of my favorite new stamp sets from the upcoming 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue is called Crafting Forever. It's perfect for all us creative people. I wanted to share a card today using the stamps and new In Colors.

This pot of brushes is so fun and allowed me to feature all the brand new In Colors including Lemon Lime Twist (on the pot and my favorite!), Berry Burst, Tranquil Tide, Fresh Fig and Powder Pink. Which one will be your new favorite?

Put this stamp set on the top of your list come June 1st. It also includes a copyright stamp that you can use for your creations that you sell which contact Stampin' Up! images. This stamp satisfies the requirements for our Angel Policy.

To create this card yourself here are the instructions:

Cut Powder Pink cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score at 4 1/4" and fold to create card front.
Cut Whisper White to 5" x 3 3/4" and a Berry Burst mat to 5 1/8" x 3 7/8".
Glue the Whisper White piece to the Berry Burst mat.
Stamp the sentiment on the bottom of the Whisper White piece in Berry Burst ink.
Stamp the pot of brushes in Basic Black Archival ink on Watercolor Paper. Cut out with Stitched Shape large square.
Color the image using an Aqua Painter and Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, Tranquil Tide, Fresh Fig, Smoky Slate and Basic Gray inks.
Cut out the largest square from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock (3 1/4" x 3 1/4") using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.
Cut out the middle of this square with a die from Layering Square Framelits.
Glue them together offsetting the Lemon Lime Twist one as shown in the picture.
Glue the pieces to the top of the Whisper White piece.
Stamp the scissors in Basic Black Archival ink on a piece of Watercolor Paper.
Color with Tranquil Tide and Basic Gray inks using an Aqua Painter.
Fussy cut the scissors.
Glue the scissors to the left side of the pots.

I stamped the scissors and fussy cut them - isn't that saying just perfect? I used my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush on the blades of the scissors and on the brush metal pieces. Did you notice the fine line along the right side of the elements in the the image? I used Smoky Slate ink to anchor the pot and brushes.

Border Buddy's Saturday - Eastern Palace Suite by Stampin' Up!

Hello Stampers,

It's Border Buddy Saturday today, Patsy here. So much excitement about the upcoming release of the New 2017-2018 Annual Catalog. Each month Alison and I create 4 cards each to feature in our Border Buddy PDF Card Tutorial. In the past we have featured two stamp sets each month but have decided for this catalog year we will feature one stamp giving you 8 awesome ideas using that particular stamp set. This will help show you how versatile each set can be.

May Stamp Set is Eastern Beauty along with the fun suite of products that go with it. This is one of those stamp sets that I ordered because I could order it early, but will admit it wasn't love at first site. But once I started to play with it and could see the versatility of it I guarantee this set will become one of those I grab often.

The circles and shapes will make really fun backgrounds and just changing the colors will change the look a great deal.

The flower on the card used one of the new 2017-2019 In-Colors Lemon Lime Twist. This color is going to be such a fun pop to add to your hand stamped cards. The new in-color products will be Cardstock, Stampin' Write Markers, Classic Ink Pads, Ink Refills, Ribbons and Bitty Bows. It is so much fun to have new colors to play with each year.

Border Buddy Saturday - With Stamipn' Up! High Tide Stamp Set

It's Border Buddy Saturday, Patsy here.

I am excited to share with you another card featured in our Monthly Border Buddy PDF Card Tutorial. Since there are 5 Saturdays in April you get a bonus peek.

This card is made using the High Tide stamp set from the Occasions Catalog. So excited it is going to carry over into the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. We only have one light house in MN but it is a very popular one, the Split Rock Lighthouse on Lake Superior. We love to visit that area of the state. It is an international harbor with large ships coming and going. It is like an entirely different world from central Minnesota. We have lots of lakes but tiny compared to Superior.

Hard to see in a photo but I placed some Wink of Stella on the beam of light and it is so sparkly. This is another great set to use for masculine cards.
