Babywipes + Stampin' Up! Reinkers + Stamp = Baby Splash of Colors. I used the card sketch from Mojo Monday to design my card and September's Stamp of the Month "Wonderfall" as the featured art. I stamped the images using the technique Baby Splash of Colors as described in the three step tutorial below. Then I went to get my leaf framelits and couldn't find them anywhere. Now those of you who viewed my Stampin' Spot Video know I keep a pretty tiddy room, so I was pretty frustrated when I searched high and low and couldn't find them anywhere!
So I did what we use to do in the good ole days and cut them out by hand with a scissors. Then as I was preparing for this blog post it hit me "duh" they are the Autumn Accents Bigz Die not framelits. I have used these many times, and it always seems to me they should be a framlit. Would love to hear from you why you think Stampin' Up! made these a die instead of a framelit, post a comment on what you think! I get asked that question all the time and I am not sure I have a good answer!
First I folded my 3 babywipes in half and placed them on my largest clear blockm, this way my work area stayed dry. Then I stamped the leaf image (without any ink on it) to make an impression for easier placement of the reinkers.
The I added drops of reinkers starting with More Mustard in the center followed by Cajun Craze and on the very edge Cherry Cobbler. I let it stand for a few minutes to spread out.
Then I inked my stamped on the babywipes just like it was an ink pad. Then stamped the image on Very Vanilla cardstock. Isn't this just an amazing way to add color to solid stamped images?

The die cuts out a lot more materials than the framelits. You can use chipboard, metal, grungeboard etc. with the bigger die.

I love that you can cut multiple layers of card stock with the die, thus saving time when doing more than one card.
