Each week I look forward to the creative days in my Stampin' Up! business. While each day holds a little creativity there are several days in the week that are filled with just stamping and playing with my "stuff". I mentioned in this past week, in the Soda Pop Top video, I am much more of a CASER (copy & share everything) than a creator. When it comes to posting here I do need to be original, so I head off to a challenge (like Mojo Monday) with a Card Sketch, it is like magic. I study the card and then I am off to the stamping desk and ideas start to flow.
Once my creation is finished I feel an overwhelming sense of WOW I made that… well okay not always. when I finished this card, I don't feel this card was post worthy. So I sat it up on the shelf with several others which I thought were better and when Tom came home he said I really like this one with the circles. That was all it took to make me feel confidant to post the card. Many people have a lack of confidence when it come to their own work, me included! There is a great article called Reclaim your Creative Confidence which states "Creativity is something you practice, not just a talent you’re born with. The process may feel a little uncomfortable at first, but… read more.
I encourage each of you to take time this week, schedule it in if you have to, and head off to your stamping spot and create something. Would love to have you share in the comments if you did, how it felt and what you love most about your project or card.
