It's Border Buddies Saturday, Patsy Here!
Do you ever wonder what a day in the life of a Stampin' Up! demonstrator looks like? Well it has changed drastically since we first started. After all 18 years ago there were no stamping blogs, no pinterest, no YouTube and I even had to call all my orders in.
So in the "old" days the catalog was my only inspiration – and since I was not creative back then I copied and cased everything from the catalog. As the years went on, I became more creative and now can sit down and come up with many of my own ideas. But usually inspired by something I see.
Today's cards are taking the same idea and just changing the orientation and colors. It gives the card and entirely different look. Stamped with the Peaceful Pines Stamp Set and cut out with the Big Shot using the Perfect Pines Framlits.

This card is a horizontal position with one of the trees stamped and cut out, the other two just cut out of card stock. The patterned paper is the Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper.
This card is in the portrait position and I didn't stamp any trees just cut them out with the framelits. The patterned paper in this card is from the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper.
So back to a day in the life of a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator – I will share my typically day with you. The beauty of my job is the flexibility so I can fit in my priorities of family, friends and life.
I start my day with checking my Emails and responding. Then I check out what is new on pinterest and pin some of my favorite pins.
- Then if it is a blogging day I spend a few hours creating some blog posts.
- If it is a creative day I spend the entire day just stamping and having fun.
- If it is a Newsletter day I create a newsletter for my customers and another for my team members.
- Once a month it is card class day and I spend the afternoon with stamping friends.
I finish up each day with checking emails again and responding. My day's are not 9-5 but I fit the activities of my business in between my life. For me it is all about the flexibility – where else could I take off for 3-4 weeks at a time and travel with my retired hubby. Of course I do work a bit on the road too!
