This field full of blooms made me think of the Garden in Bloom Stamp Set to use for this month's card.  I wanted to create a background filled with flowers.

This month I used all the colors in the palette, it is not required you can use some or all depending on your mood.

  • The large flowers are stamped in Wisteria Wonder Ink and the outline is Elegant Eggplant Ink.
  • The leaves are using the Old Olive Ink and outlined with the Always Artichoke Ink.
  • The small Flowers I stamped using the Island Indigo Ink and to achieve different shades I re-stamped the flower without re-inking.

The sentiment is framed using the new Layering Squares Framelits.  This set is so awesome with its 19 framelits, a combination of scalloped or straight edges for amazing layering options.

Petite Petal Punch #stampinup

Notice the flower on the left? It is punched out using the Petite Petals Punch.  I wanted it to mimic the flowers from the Garden in Blooms Stamp Set so I snipped off the pointed tip giving it a rounded petal.

The center of the flowers I embellished with my new favorite embellishment White Perfect Accents.  While they are not "new" I seem to be using them on all my cards this month.  Leaving them white or taking my black sharpie and coloring them black.
