It's Thursday and time for our Just in CASE Series (COPY AND SHARE EVERYTHING).
Today I CASEd the card on page 69 of the 2016-2017 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.
The sample in the catalog used the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set. Since I don't have the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set, I decided to substitute the Flower Patch Stamp Set in it's place.
As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator we get a great discount on all our paper crafting supplies and also lots of FREE stuff, so while I have LOTS – I don't have it all, LOL!
I have created a special Tutorial featuring this card with Image, supply list, measurements and Instructions.

Both are very nice cards. It is good to show that you don’t have to have the exact same stamp to make a beautiful card!! I actually like the “Flower Patch” card better!! Have a great day & keep the ideas coming!!

The imagination is a wonderful thing… Love how you used the stamps you had to create a card similar to the one in the book…
Terry Iverson says
I love both cards, but it is so great that you can CASE a card and even if you don’t have the exact stamp set or accessories, you can create a great and interesting card….which you have.
Thank you for showing us your great ideas and I think my favorite of the two is your Flower Patch card.
Bianca Rebel says
I love flowers so can not choose between the cards. It’s great casing you did! Love the sentiments too.

I see now that I did not read you post well. I think the Flower patch you’ve used is more delicate. It makes your card a little chic.
Diane Durbin says
I like the Bunch of Blossoms card better. But I have the Flower Patch set, so maybe if I used the Bunch of Blossoms colors with the other set, I would like it better. I think it was the colors that made me like Bunch of Blossoms better.
Diane Durbin says
Looking at it again, did you use the same colors on both cards? If so, I think what I like is more yellow on Bunch of Blossoms. Somehow it looks so much lighter, fresher.
Patsy Waggoner says
Sometimes it is hard to substitute a stamp set in a card one likes. But I love to show it can be done. Thanks so much for stopping by and your comment, appreciate it.
Patsy Waggoner says
Thanks Terry for stopping by and leaving a comment. I love the challenge of recreating a card with a different stamp set and am having so much fun each Thursday with the Just in CASE series.
Patsy Waggoner says
Biana, I always have a hard time choosing too! It is like someone asking me which is my favorite stamp set – I LOVE THE ALL LOL.
Patsy Waggoner says
Color is an important factor and can determine sometimes what we like about a card. Thanks for stopping by and appreciate the comments.

The one card is from the catalog and I am not exactly sure what color they used – they might have used Watermelon Wonder, it is a bit more soft. Also how it is photographed and lighting can effect it too. I would try watermelon wonder instead for a softer look. Thanks again
