Welcome to Sunday Sketches SS009 by Stamps to Die For. Each Sunday I post a card sketch along with a card I created using the sketch. Sketches often help get my creativity fired up.
Sketch Measurements:
- Card Base: 4 1/4" x 11" (but you could do 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" for side open)
- Layer One: 3" x 4 1/2"
- Strip: 1/2" x 4 1/4"
- Third Layer: 3" x 4 1/2"
Let your imagination run wild!
Sketches are open to interpretation. You can create a card exactly using the sketch layout, using a square where there is a square, or you can change it to a be a circle, or oval or flower etc. You can also turn the sketch so if it is a vertical sketch you might want to turn it to be horizontal.
Today's card is a quick and easy card.
I used the Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Very Vanilla from the "This is Christmas Cardstock Pack". There are several ways to purchase Stampin' Up! cardstock…
- Package all one color 24 sheets
- Assorted packs of color families 20 Sheets 2 each in 10 colors
- Color Packs that coordinate with the designer papers 24 sheets 8 each of 3 colors
I stamped the mouse (from Merry Mice stamp set) with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. The patterned paper is from the "This is Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper".
Do you have a Big Shot? A big shot makes stamping so much more enjoyable with so many options for cutting out with framelits that often coordinate with stamps sets and embossing cardstock.
The final touch I added a star using the Gold Glimmer paper and cut it out using the Stars Framelits and the Big Shot.
Thanks for stopping by see you Tuesday for a fun technique.
