Welcome to Sunday Sketches SSOO10 by Stamps to Die For. Each Sunday I post a card sketch along with a card I created using the sketch. Sketches often help get my creativity fired up.
Sketch Measurements:
- Card Base: 4 1/4" x 11" for a top fold or 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" for a side fold
- Next Layer: 2 3/4" x 4 3/4"
- Square: 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"
Let your imagination run wild!
Sketches are open to interpretation. You can create a card exactly using the sketch layout, using a square where there is a square, or you can change it to a be a circle, or oval or flower etc. You can also turn the sketch so if it is a vertical sketch you might want to turn it to be horizontal.
Peaceful Pines stamp set is in the Stampin' Up! Annual catalog on page 28. Cherry Cobbler was used for the card base and is a rich deep cherry red great for Christmas and Valentine Cards.
The patterned paper is from the This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper package. This designer paper is a bit lighter weight and you get twice as many sheets in a package for just a few dollars more than our regular packages of designer paper.
The heart and star are from the Metallic Enamel Shapes package.
There are 100 shapes: 50 each in gold and silver foil. Each color contains 10 hearts, 15 stars, 15 mini circles and 10 small circles. These shapes are perfect for when you think the card needs just a little bit of something else. They also come in our Stampin' Up! Color Families (Brights, Regals and Subtles)
