Welcome to Sunday Sketches by Stamps to Die For.
Each Sunday I post a card sketch I have created along with a card I stamped using the sketch. Sketches often help get my creativity fired up and I hope this sketch might inspire you.
- Card Base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
- Next Layer: 4" x 5 1/4"
- Next Layer: 2" x 4 3/4"
- Square: 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"
- Banner: 3/8" x 2"
Let your imagination run wild!
Sketches are open to interpretation. You can create a card exactly using the sketch layout, using a square where there is a square, or you can change it to a be a circle, or oval or flower etc. You can also turn the sketch so if it is a vertical sketch you might want to turn it to be horizontal.
This card features some of my favorite Stampin' Up! colors, Mint Macaron, Dapper Denim, Calypso Coral. For the colored background, I used masking tape technique. If you would like to see how to do this stamping technique, you can watch a video I made a few years back using this technique. The patterned paper is the SU By the Shore Designer Series Paper.
The embellishments are the Calypso Coral Bakers Twine & Brights Enamel Shapes.
Today's card was stamped using the In the Meadow stamp set.
This is a GREAT stamp set for creating Masculine cards which often times is the greatest challenge.
