Alison and I are excited to announce that the third Tuesday of each month we will have a new series called "Color Without Borders".

Alison and I will each create a card using the same color palette and share it with you on our blogs.

If you love the simplicity of a punch, you really should consider getting the Beautiful Blossoms Stamp Set and coordinating Blossom Builder that I used on today's card.

MEASUREMENTS:

  • Basic Black Cardstock: Cardbase 4-1/4" x 11 or 5-1/2" x 8-1/2"
  • Island Indigo Cardstock: 1-7/8" x 4-1/4"
  • Very Vanilla: 2-3/4" x 4"
  • Smoky Slate Stitched Oval: 2-1/4"

The background was embossed using the Big Shot & the Garden Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Stamping Tip:
You can color your pearls and rhinestones with the Stampin' Blends, another great reason to buy them.  I colored these with the Dark Bermuda Bay.

Two-Step Stamping

I love two-step photopolymer stamps.  So easy to line up and see through and get surprising results.

  1. Outline stamp in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
  2. Berry Burst Classic Ink
  3. Berry Burst Classic Ink off stamped once

Off stamping is when you ink up your stamp and stamp it on a scratch piece of paper before you stamp your image.

  1. Full Strength
  2. Off stamped once
  3. Off stamped twice
  4. Off stamped four times

I hope you enjoy our new series Color Without Borders and be sure to hop over to Alison's Blog and a see her card.
