I started to write my blog post today and there just isn't anything stamping I feel like talking about today. So I hope you will bear with me. This past week my Aunt Enid passed into the next world. She brought joy, laughter, love, and fun to our lives and will be greatly missed. So I hope you will understand while I take the next two weeks off, while I have out of state family staying with me. We will celebrate her life next Saturday, September 21 so think of us.
She was one of my mom's older sisters and they were very close. When my mom was battling cancer and lived with us for the last two years of her life, Aunt Enid would come for sleepovers. I would hear them giggling till all hours of the night. My Mom passed 9 years ago and for my aunt who was the oldest, it just didn't seem right. I know she and my Mom are having a grand time now!
So today rather than a card project I dedicate this post to my Aunt Enid.
1980 – Me, my daughter Danielle and my Aunt Enids – WOW was I young.
Here is Aunt Enid and Danielle in 2014 so blessed that my kids were able to grow up knowing this special aunt.
Another generation was able to know and feel loved by Aunt Enid (Danielle's daughter, my granddaughter). We use to visit her and put puzzles together.
Over 20 years ago Enid starting taking her daughter and granddaughters to Quilt Camp. For several years they asked me to come but, while I can sew and am pretty good at it, it STRESSES me out, LOL! They said bring your stamping stuff, you don't have to quilt – so I did. So for about the past 6 years each fall my daughter Danielle and I attend quilt camp and how much fun to spend the time with family.
Of course, that is not the only time of year we get together there is always Rooster Ridge in June. Where we can all get together play games and of course eat. Grateful for family and time together.
See you in a couple of weeks. Hugs Patsy
