One of my favorite suites of products is the Hand Penned Suite. Today I am going to share a card I created using the Faux Silk Stamping Technique and the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set. This technique was featured in my 52 Weeks of Technique How To Video Series a few years back.
Here is the original video showing how to do the Faux Silk Technique. Read more about this card and download the original tutorial…
In my original video I used the Stampin' Up! retired Anywhere Glue Stick. This time I used our Adhesive Sheets making it even easier to achieve this unique look. I simply peeled the one side of the adhesive sheet and applied to the stamped piece of cardstock. Then I gently crinkled a piece of tissue paper that is a bit larger than the stamped piece and then flattened it back out. Then adhered the tissue paper to your sticky card stock, trimming off the excess overhang.
Today's card features the Stampin' Up! new 2021-2023 In Color So Succulent. This is one of the 5 new colors you won't want to miss.
Here is the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set. I just love the way this stamp set stamps up with the broken edges of the outline. The font combination is one of my favorites. Item #155070 and is only $22. for the set.
The beauty of this paper can not be captured in a photo, it really has to be seen to be believed. #155499 $11.50

Loved watching your video. You did a fantastic job of explaining the faux silk and how to tie a square knot. Thank you for all you do. You are appreciated.
