Today's journey down memory lane brings us to the Technique How To, Popping Eyeshadow. Eye shadow is more than just for your eyes. You can take your favorite colors (or maybe you not favorite colors for your eyes) and use them on your next hand stamped card. You can even check out the dollar stores for some compacts with lots of colors in them.
For my project I choose the Art Gallery Stamp Set along with some paper from the Hand-Penned Designers Series Paper package. I embellished it with some of the new 2021-2023 In Color 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon. This ribbon is beautiful and ties easy to make a bow.
It is a very simple technique. First stamp your image in Versamark Ink on either Basic White* or Very Vanilla Cardstock*, then simply brush the desired eyeshadow over the stamped image. I used a soft pink, gold and pastel green for my card. You can also replace the eyeshadow with art pastels if you have them.
*Stampin' Up! cardstock has a very buffed surface. If you use a different cardstock you may get a more blotchy effect.
To top it off the card with some Mint Macaron Genial Gems. The gems come in Mint Macaron and Pale Papaya with some added glitter inside (which is hard to see in the photo). You don't have to use them just with those colors as they do coordinate with many more so reach outside the box.
I had to look up Genial, I guess I often hear and have used the word Congenial, not sure I have ever used the term genial. Genial

That’s an awesome idea to use eye shadow to color with. Wish I had thought of that! Now, I will have to try it to see what it looks like. Do we need to spray it with some kind of adhesive?
