Today's feature technique is called split negative. I have only done this using black and white embossing powders on black and white cardstock – but you can do them in other colors also. I love black and white for lots of things. Even easier than embossing the card is using a die cut which is what I did today.
The black and white mats behind the butter fly are 1 1/2" x 2 1/2". I used one of the butterflies from the Brilliant Wings Dies and the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine to cut out one in Basic White and one in Basie Black. Then I cut each butterfly in half. I glued the white half to the black mat and the black half to the white mat making sure they line up.
The polka dot paper is from the Pattern Party Host Designer Series Paper, one side is bright brilliant colors while the other side is black and white designs giving you so much versatility. Read more about how you can get this paper click here…
The finishing touch ribbon is the Black Glitter Organdy Ribbon so glad this has carried over to the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.
