This window card features a clear window with Crystal Effects dropped on the inside to create the essence of snow falling. Really cool in person, but a bit hard to capture on film.
This card will impress anyone who receives it and while it looks like you fussed it is very simple to create. Today on Wednesday's ways I will give you 3 easy steps to complete this window card. Then go crazy using this card design for any upcoming event.
You will start with 1/4 of a sheet of card stock for front and back (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). Here I have Bashful Blue for the front and Whisper White for the back.
Score at 1/2", 1", 4 1/2" & 5" on both pieces (I just added dashed lines for easier reference).
Fold on scored marks 1/2" Valley Fold, 1" Mountain Fold, 4 1/2" Mountain Fold, 5" Valley Fold as shown in photo.
Cut a window on the front (Bashful Blue) with your choice of punch or framlit. Now with snail or sticky strip adhere the Bashful Blue flap with the Whisper White Flap on both sides. Embellish as desired.
I colored the pearls with a black sharpie (they come out just like Basic Grey) to look like coal. Then added the silver glimmer snowflake with the basic gray glimmer brad that takes on a light blue appearance with the paper. If you look closely you will see the droplets of crystal effects to give it the snowing effect. This card will fit in our Medium Envelopes.
